Aerospace Industries International (AII)
Aerospace Industries International (AII) was established as a subsidiary of Aerospace Industries plc in 1996.
AII core competency is Supply Chain Management, specialising in the provision of a comprehensive range of material management services.
AII
is committed to the development of long-term client partnerships where a mutually
profitable relationship can grow and develop. This is based on the provision
of products and services, which conform to the highest standards in the aviation
industry.
AII is also committed to the continuous development of new innovative products and services which allows AII to manage its customers material requirements at the lowest total cost.
Under AII Total Managed Service AII assumes total responsibility
for the continuous availability of all material required at the lowest total
cost to the Customer.
By implementing AII's Total Managed Service, a client can effectively outsource
all of its material management requirements. AII have terms of agreements
with all of the major OEM's. Because AII is not affiliated to any particular
manufacturer, we are in the unique position of being able to supply material
from the full range of manufacturers. This allows us to be the single source
supplier for all material requirements with full traceability.
The service is driven by a formal customer material management system which monitors the usage of every part on the programme, utilising Bar-Code, Kan-Ban, J.I.T or build to order techniques as appropriate. All parts are checked on a pre-determined basis with the information then downloaded to the computer system to drive on-site replenishment activities as required. Service level measurements are reported monthly and reviewed quarterly at Steering Committee level.
Aerospace Industries International uses a fully integrated
enterprise-wide manufacturing and financial control system, supported by a
wide area network with 40 connected desktop users in the Dublin office.
The system contains MPS (Master Production Scheduling) MRP II for Materials
Planning, Purchasing, Inventory, Shop Floor Control, Accounts, Receivable,
Accounts Payable, Sales order Management and General Ledger Modules. The system
is flexible and able to meet the needs of multiple customer demands in terms
of customised reporting and programming enhancements.
